Ice Fishing
The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is one of the few areas of the United States where our winters are always cold enough to ensure that we have ice that is thick enough to fish every winter and where you can be assured that your winter vacation will not be affected by warm weather and poor conditions. You can count on having ice and snow up here.

In Crystal Falls Township, we have many lakes that are perfect for the long season of ice fishing. There is excellent ice fishing opportunities for a variety of species. Walleyes are best known in the area lakes. Large Northern Pike can be found through the ice on any of the same lakes plus numerous smaller lakes and reservoirs. Perch and Blue Gills also inhabit several lakes as well. We have several trout lakes filled with Rainbows, Brook Trout, Browns, Splake and Lake Trout.

This page is dedicated to those individuals who love the winter and who enjoy getting out on the lake and spending a day fishing with their friends and families on the ice, standing by the fire, drinking hot chocolate or coffee, fishing with the neighbors, and swapping stories.
